Judith Eastham

Concert Violinist

Judith was born in Stockton-on-Tees in 1977. She began to play the violin at the age of nine, and at sixteen gained a scholarship to attend the Royal Northern School of Music. In 1996 she gained an unconditional offer to study violin with Yossi Zivoni.

During her college years she was an active chamber musician with prize-winning quartets, and performed both as a soloist and chamber musician in many of the leading concert halls and cathedrals of Europe.

Judith has also been on the stage as soloist at many venues in Britain, as well as Hillsborough Castle. She has played with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, entertained on Cruise ships and has worked as leader of orchestras at the Royal Festival Hall and Royal Albert Hall.

Judith plays on a modern French violin by the famous maker, Colin Mezzin. Besides playing, Judith also teaches the violin and sings with the Sirenian Singers.

Judith's recital programme combines some the most popular and attractive music for violin with highlights from the violin's classic repertoire.
